Abstract on infections accepted by the European Bone and Joint Infection Society

The Lithuania University of Health Science had submitted an abstract about the BFCC pilot on infections at the European Bone and Joint Infection Society (EBJIS). It has now been accepted as oral presentation in the EBJIS Annual Meeting, on 6-8 September 2018, in Helsinki, Finland. “The main conference theme is ‘Infection After Trauma’ – thus, our subject perfectly fits!” explained BFCC project partner Šarūnas Tarasevičius. The professor in Orthopaedics is delighted that his contribution ‘Vancomycin elution from a biphasic bone substitute: antibiotic concentrations measured in drainage fluid, serum and urine over 4 weeks’ will be presented at the international event.

The conference will bring together experts, practitioners and companies involved in the treatment of bone and joint infections. The scientific programme will offer keynote lectures, free paper sessions, industry symposia and posters.
